Come see what this Dad and his Princess have been up to.
You might get to see some of my sewing projects, as well as a tutorial here and there to help you out.
I might even work up to a few give aways along the way!
Hold on tight! This could be a bumpy ride!

All sewn up!

This quilt decided that it liked the stone sashing after all.

I really liked the yellow.... Leighanna liked the pink....Mom liked white.
My original plan was to use the stone sashing, so I went with my gut feeling and I am so glad that I did.
The blocks really are the show.
All that hard work piecing...some seam ripping...scrapping blocks that didn't quite turn out.
I really love it!

Leighanna was very involved in this whole process.  She helped me pick out the fabrics for some of the blocks and while I was sewing it all together, she was my pin puller.  She wanted to sew a few seams, but I vetoed that idea!  I really wanted to take my time and do it right!

All that is left to do is figure out a backing.  I think I might piece a few pinwheels in there too.  Perhaps a few of  the mishaps that didn't make the front?  We'll see.
The quilting of this is going to be tough.  I will have to ponder what to do.  Stipple, straight line?  I don't know yet, perhaps the quilt will tell me when the time comes.
A big and hearty THANK YOU to my friends Carla and Shannon!   I loved AND used the scraps of SisBoom fabric that you so graciously gave me, without your kindness, this quilt would not have been!

Pinwheel dilema!

I have been doing the quilt along that Rachel from P.S.i quilt is hosting.  It has been really fun!  We are almost to the end and being the impatient guy that I am, had to do a couple of computer mock ups of what this will look like!
Now my only problem is..... what color sashing?

My original plan was to use Kona Stone.

My flikr friends say white.

Leighanna, my lover of pink, says pink!

I am loving Aqua these days!

Hello, Yellow!  Me likey this!
My FaceBook friends likey this too!
Leighanna's room is painted yellow, so this would work!

What do you all think?  Leave me a comment if you are still reading this blog!  I know.... I am such a slacker!
